SAFETY IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY
Safety is essential to everything we do, both on and off the job. We are committed to providing superior safety performance and are confident that our safety
culture, management, and oversight will allow for a working environment that
identifies and eliminates unsafe conditions and allows each employee to return
home safe every day.
In FY14, we accomplished a number of safety objectives, including:
• Expanding our Office Safety Coordinator Network (now 54 members strong)
to further extend this key facet of our leadership-driven safety culture.
• Initiating a formal health and safety management system that was developed following the framework of the internationally recognized OHSAS 18001
standard. TRC will continually assess the effectiveness of the management
system and educate employees on roles and responsibilities within the management system in FY15.
• Implementation of TRC’s Vehicle Safety Program which includes several initiatives focused on reducing motor vehicle incident frequency and severity.
TRC’s Health and Safety Program is one of continuous improvement and starts
with a corporate-wide commitment to safety. The success of our program is
hallmarked by the following key elements:
