family who hosted us in their amaz-
ing home in Abbottabad (Yeah, where
Bin Laden was caught!).
The Kahns’ went totally out of their
way to make my day special and they
nailed it! Being away from our loved
ones on such occasions is not easy,
but we truly felt like home and it was
a special time indeed.
We spent over three months in In-
dia and were amazed by the diversi-
ty of this incredible country. I had
backpacked through India before but
experiencing it on a motorcycle has
been incomparable.
We spent Christmas and New
Year’s in Goa and we really enjoyed
our time there. We were staying in a
guest house attached to the house of
a Goan family and settling there for
some time felt like home.
Kerala is too beautiful to be de-
