cold when we visited the KKH, we
really enjoyed the nature and the ter-
rain.
The most memorable experience
was riding the Shimshal Valley. We
had visited this place whilst roaming
around the area and the only thing
that we had heard about it was that
it is an amazing route. Little did we
know that it would take us around
six hours to get to the valley and that
we would need to pass through sand,
loose gravel, ice and at the edge of
high narrow roads!
I freaked out at one point, as a big
test of my trust in Daryl’s riding saw
us carrying on until we got to the val-
ley. Going out, at one point, we were
in icy water up to our knees. In the
end, it was an amazing adventure
that we will always remember.
