We are grateful for what we've been

Munnar on the bike was fun, the
backwaters are amazing – we can say
that this was our favourite state in In-
dia for sightseeing.
We also spent two weeks volun-
teering in a school in Bodh Gaya, to
finish a fundraising project that we
had started before we left on our
trip. Spending days with these kids
and witnessing the villages that they
come from made us realise how easy
our upbringing was, living in a soci-
ety where education, health, and a
safe environment are taken for grant-
ed.
We went there to contribute some
of our time and energy, but we left
with a lot more.
Experiencing different cultures
and riding through raw surround-
ings have been the highlight of our
trip so far. We feel that the different
cultures, and diverse lands are what
make us want to travel to places far
from home … so that we learn, we
experience, and we broaden our per-
