Ambiance&Food

The Ambiance of the Restauarant was quite inviting if one would really understand the culture of Malaysia. When we dine at the Matarbak Cafe, at first i was expecting for the restaurant to be null or not that full of people but surprisingly, it was quite a full house. Most of its customers where of muslim race since Malaysia is an islam country. We also noticed some other nationalities dining at the Matarbak Cafe. Some look like other southeast-asian and some look like indian or the common ones we know from Malaysian. Though the Restaurant was small, it managed to give the customers that feeling and sense of dining out in a non-ordinary asian restaurant. Their service was just normal. Honestly I don't feel welcomed dining at the Restaurant.

Martabak experience

Eating at Martabak Cafe at Mall of Asia was quite an experience to try especially to those who are interested and open to eating out asian cuisines. This time it is Malaysian Cuisine. Me and my friends dine at the Matarbak Cafe to try out some Malaysian dishes. Excited at what to expect. Just like Filipino cuisine and other neighboring asian countries, there are a lot of similarities among asian cuisines when it comes to taste, flavor, use of ingredients, and cooking methods. Unlike the western cusines which different categories to courses such as appetizers, main dish, and dessert, the Malaysian cuisines just like with our very own dishes has no distinct category to courses. Appetizer can be eaten either as a main course or dessert, and vice versa to other meals. When it comes to the authenticity of the food, i can't really tell wheter the dishes that we ate are authentic since it would be our first time to try it out. One thing that i can say was that the dishes we ate are palatable and more of a common dish since it resembles to some filipino falvors and ingredients. Curry is pre-dominant in their dishes and its a bit oily which made our appetite quite heavy or full. Dessert was also common for Malaysian cusisine had been influenced by the western nations and just rendered their own variation or version.
