Agawam Update
There is much to be accomplished in order for Camp Agawam to be ready for the summer camping season.
We have projects for people of all ages and abilities. Projects on the list include repairing and staining picnic tables, staining the newly resurfaced dock, roofing, trail clearing, road maintenance, firewood cutting, cabin spring cleaning, and more.
Mark your calendar. Camp Agawam Service Day is Saturday April 22. Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the day.

Ready for Summer?
While winter weather may not have you thinking about summer camp, now is the time to start making plans for your week at Camp Bucoco. Be sure to call the Council Service Center to make or confirm your reservation.
We are excited to announce more merit badge opportunities this year. This is sure to keep your Scouts on their Trail to Eagle while maintaining a focus of fun. We are also ramping up the campwide games and activities with new challenges to and back again this year will be kayaking on Friday afternoons at Moraine State Park.

STEM education focus during weekend
Cub Scout Resident Camp expands by leaps and bounds with the new WeDo Lego education program.
Cub Scouts will learn to build a tadpole then morph their robot into the stages to become a working frog as one example of a project.
Cub Scouts will explore nature, sustainability, science, space exploration, and more through a new four-year curriculum as part of this new addition to resident camp at the Hoyt Education Center.
We call it“ Technology Meets Tradition” where your Cub Scouts will receive a mix of traditional activities plus two or more STEMrelated classes during the weekend. This is just a sample:
