INVEST IN SCOUTING
Living Legacy
Consider the following ways to leave a legacy of your own or in memory of a special friend or loved one:
A gift included in your will or living trust can establish a lasting legacy.
A gift of excess retirement funds, such as pension plans or Individual Retirement Accounts( IRAs), may allow you to give more, while eliminating taxes that may otherwise largely deplete these assets.
A gift of life insurance that has fulfilled its original purpose may offer excellent tax benefits. Policies that you purchased to protect a loved one who no longer needs that protection can be an excellent way to make a gift in honor of that person.
A gift that provides an income can be a tax-effective way to provide you and / or someone else you designate with regular payments for life or other period of time. Check with us or your advisors for more information.
A gift made in any of these ways will serve as your tribute to Scouting or to honor special loved ones.

Dr. Henry Sinopoli Board Room
As a Christmas present to her husband and the Moraine Trails Council, Jocelyn Sinopoli of CW Howard Insurance provided the support needed to renovate the Service Center conference room.
The room is dedicated to Dr. Henry Sinopoli, Past President of Moraine Trails Council and internationally renowned, lecturer, educator and business coach.
Henry and Jocelyn( pictured center) have been long-time supporters of the Council camps, Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner, and Technology Merit Badge Academy.
The Council is extremely grateful to the Sinopoli family for this beautiful gift.
Thanks for making a difference
The annual giving campaign, Friends of Scouting( or FOS), represents the council’ s largest source of income.
When asked to contribute, please remember how much you and your children enjoyed the life-changing fun of Scouting.
Why should you give to the Council? Because of all the ways they support youth and volunteers. Here is a partial list:

Support staff for registration, publications and other program support
Camp promotion for Cub Scout day camps, Boy Scout summer camps, high-adventure bases and more

Camp scholarships, uniforms and registration fees for disadvantaged young people
Council website to keep you informed
Camp equipment, like tents, cooking equipment, camp vehicles, building repairs, canoes, equipment replacement and repair, and general upkeep of council camps
Recognitions for leaders who complete training, volunteer for special projects and help in many Scouting roles
Professional staff to work with volunteers to organize new units, manage fundraising programs, conduct training, assist membership recruitment, provide counsel and direct support for district, camps and programs
Administrative needs, including postage, computers and links to the National BSA computer system, copy machines, folding machines and a printing shop
Snyder Service Center to provide additional support and a Scout Store for volunteers
