Meet MONIQUE With an interesting personality that mixes humour, sternness and a whole lot of sarcasm, we approached this TPDCo beauty for her permission to share her highly contagious energy and insight on fashion and food with our readers. Check out what Monique had to tell the TPDConnect team. 1. Tell us about your earliest childhood memory At the tender age of two, I learnt my lesson to never drag my feet! I was on my way to church with my mother one fine Sunday morning; I dragged my feet for 2 whole minutes after leaving the house. My mother stopped and said “Never drag your feet”; it is safe to say I have never dragged my feet since. 2. What do you consider to be a perfect night out? A perfect night out would involve close friends, drinks, food, music and beach. 3. Which song do you have on repeat? “Sevana- Bit too shy” 4. If you could control your future, what would the crystal ball say? If I could control my future, it would include success, wealth and HEALTH. I’d be a successful Tourism Specialist whilst living my best life; happy and strong. Travelling the world, catching flights. 5. Jamaica is known for its cuisine, what’s on your menu? Some mouth-watering, seasoned to the bone Curry Goat with either Roti or Rice and Peas cooked by a good hand (lol). I also love indulging in Fried, Crushed Plantain and the good ole Peanut Porridge filled with local spices and sweetness. 6. If you could choose to remain an age forever, which age would that be? 23 YEARS OLD. I feel that at this age, you’re old enough to be independent and responsible, but young enough to learn and fully experience the good and bad of the world. 7. Who would you say is the most fashionable Jamaican? Describe that person’s style I would say the most fashionable Jamaican is Lisa Hanna; she expresses herself daily within the corporate world. You spend most of your day at work; the best way to express yourself is through fabric, textures and colors. She is the embodiment of “Fashion meets Corporate”. Lisa Hanna wears the clothes, the clothes never wears her. Trendy and Chic is her personal style which allows for versatility. She could easily leave the office and go straight to happy hour on a Friday night.
