FEBRUARY 23RD IS RECOGNIZED AS JAMAICA DAY, AS SUCH WE ASKED SOME TPDCO STAFF MEMBERS ABOUT A JAMAICAN MOMENT THAT WAS MOST MEMORABLE,

I can’t help but share two moments. When I was younger I visited the Prospect Plantation in St. Mary, where I rode a
camel, it was like a fusion of cultures as camels are not indigenous to our country, so riding one on Jamaican soil felt
as though I was in two different places at the same
time!
The second moment was when I felt our musical
legend’s spirit at the Bob Marley Mausoleum. It was
almost surreal to see the guitar that Marley plucked
great music from.

Definitely seeing Chronixx in concert recently, it was great to see passion and raw tal-
ent in a live setting. I could sense the positive vibrations among the patrons. Everyone
was having a good time as they wrapped themselves in the comforting and soothing
sounds of reggae music.

It was my 31st birthday
and I went Rafting on the
Rio Grande with some
friends. We booked 6 rafts
on the glorious Rio Grande,
and two of those rafts
held food and alcohol.

Back in 97 I visited
the pantomime and
watched a satirical
piece titled “Bagga
Raggs”. That was ages
ago, but to this day
I can remember the
songs and the
amazing feeling of
watching the actors
provide first class en-
tertainment in real
time.
