National Night Out
Tuesday, August 4 Parade starts at 6:00 pm
Join the Town of Jupiter for National Night Out, a community-wide celebration honoring the partnership between residents and law enforcement personnel! The evening kicks off with a parade through Jupiter neighborhoods featuring the Jupiter Police Department, Jupiter Fire Rescue Department and other local organizations. The parade ends at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, where residents can take in the game, check out emergency vehicles up close and then enjoy a fireworks show to close out the night.
This nationwide event, held annually on the first Tuesday of August, strengthens the bond between neighbors and police officers— building a safer, friendlier community for all.

Slow Down In Our Town – Back to School Traffic Safety
As students return to school on Monday, August 10, the Jupiter Police Department reminds everyone— drivers, cyclists and e-bike riders— to help keep our roads safe. The Slow Down in Our Town campaign encourages safe speeds and increases awareness throughout the Town, especially in school zones.
Here are some easy safety tips to follow:
• Slow down in school zones— pay attention to flashing yellow lights and speed limits.
• Never pass a stopped school bus that is loading or unloading children.
• Obey school crossing guards and police officers— always stop when directed.
• Keep crosswalks clear and watch for children walking, biking or riding e-bikes.
• Stay alert— no texting or distractions while driving.

Summer E-Bike Safety Reward Program
Through a community partnership with Annie’ s Italian Ice and Bahama Bucks to promote safe and responsible e-bike riding, officers are rewarding e-bike riders observed demonstrating safe e-bike behavior with vouchers for a free treat. All summer long, JPD Officers will be handing out vouchers to safe e-bike riders so kids and adults can enjoy a tasty treat!
Impaired Driving Enforcement Campaign
The Jupiter Police Department, in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation, is continuing to conduct additional enforcement of impaired driving violations on our roadways. Alcohol and other substances reduce the function of the brain by impairing thinking, reasoning, and muscle coordination which are essential to operating a vehicle safely.
This enforcement campaign will be conducted now through September.
Distracted Driving Enforcement Campaign
The Jupiter Police Department, in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation, is continuing to conduct additional enforcement of distracted driving violations within the Town. Distracted driving continues to be one of the biggest traffic safety issues nationwide and occurs when drivers divert their attention away from driving such as texting, adjusting the radio, or any other distraction from the roadway.
This enforcement campaign will be conducted now through September.
Speed and Aggressive Driving Enforcement
The Jupiter Police Department in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation is conducting additional enforcement of speed and aggressive driving violations within the Town. Speed and aggressive driving are one of the biggest traffic issues and through this additional enforcement and educational awareness, our goal is to decrease violations and protect all roadway users.
This enforcement campaign will be conducted now through September.

Scammers are constantly finding new ways to target residents through phone calls, text messages, emails and social media. Common tactics include impersonating banks, government agencies, utility companies or law enforcement while creating a false sense of urgency to obtain money or personal information.
Protect yourself by avoiding suspicious links, never sharing personal or financial information with unsolicited callers, and independently verifying requests using official contact information.
If something seems suspicious, trust your instincts and take time to verify before acting. Staying informed and cautious is one of the best ways to prevent fraud.

Beginning October 1, 2026, Jupiter property owners will no longer pay Palm Beach County Fire Rescue for service. Jupiter Fire Rescue is expected to cost approximately $ 25 million annually to operate, compared with the approximately $ 35 million currently collected from Jupiter property owners today.

Playground Improvements Are Underway
The Town continues to make progress on park and playground improvements throughout the community.
Following Town Council approval, new playground equipment will be installed at Abacoa Community Park, Heights of Jupiter Park, Daily Park and the Jupiter Community Center. These upgrades will feature artificial turf surfacing, shade structures, and modern, inclusive play equipment designed to create safer and more accessible spaces for residents of all ages.
Construction is underway on a new restroom facility at Indian Creek Park. Future enhancements planned for the park include a splash pad and additional parking, further improving the experience for residents and visitors in 2027.
The Town looks forward to celebrating these improvements and welcoming the community to enjoy the enhanced park facilities.
Keep Water Meters Accessible
In preparation for the installation of new advanced metering infrastructure( AMI) beginning this summer, residents are reminded to maintain at least 3 feet of clear space on all sides of their water meters. Please trim vegetation and remove any obstructions that may prevent access. The Town’ s Utilities Department will conduct inspections, and customers with obstructed meters will receive a 90-day notice to clear the area.
