National Classics Week in NJCL history, and dramatically increased the number of Club of the Month submissions from 7 to 38 in a year. It was a pleasure to read your service submissions, and to reach out to your chapters to help in any way I could. Thank you for donating to Coin Wars, and I am so grateful for your help throughout our national service project.

I would like to extend my most heartfelt thanks to my wonderful mentor, Ms. Jankowski, the national committee, and my officers for helping me work towards spreading the light of the JCL to places previously unreachable. It has been an honor.

Difficile est longum subito deponere amorem -- it is difficult to relinquish a long-cherished love. Now is the time. But the memories of JCL -- the laughs, the love, the friendship, the spirit, the cheers, will stay with me forever.

Stay classy, JCL. Ave atque Vale,

Narayan Sundararajan

2014-2015 NJCL 2nd Vice President

A Dream and an Honor

It's very strange that I'm greeting you now as an SCLer. Since joining the JCL, I have watched high school students immerse themselves in spirit, Certamen, sports, and leadership, and grow as a result. I have grown with the rest of the JCL community, and I thank you sincerely.

From JCL, I have learned how to work with peers and adults at a high level of integrity. For that, I want to thank my teachers, my mentor, my board, and the National Committee. In leading by example and motivating me, you have continued to inspire me. As a result, we accomplished much during our 2014-2015 term. I took minutes at formal and informal meetings and at Convention. I judged the Website Contest, entered convention events into the Sched app, and worked concretely on NJCL app development so Jon has something to use this year.

Thank you to everyone who has made my JCL experience better than I could have imagined. Four years ago, I had no idea where the JCL would take me. Thanks to the Brookfield Academy Latin Club, the Wisconsin delegation, my sister, and my teachers, I got bit by the JCLovebug.

It was a dream and an honor to serve you all. Curate ut valeatis.

Ab imo pectore,

Aliyah Quereshi

2014-2015 NJCL Communications Coordinator

A Fruf Year

Well, that’s it. A year in the life as Ashley Blazek, NJCL Parliamentarian, is complete. This year Mr. Webb, my mentor, and I presented a constitutional amendment and a bylaw amendment to be voted on at convention. It gives me great pleasure to confirm that both of these amendments were ratified.

Overall the election process went rather smoothly this year. It gives me great satisfaction to pass on the torch of JCL through this medium. The next generation of officers is ready to serve this fine organization.

Convention week itself was an absolute blast! My term seemed to fly by and I will forever be indebted to this organization and its delegates for allowing me to serve them to the best of my abilities. Thank you, truly, for a fruf year. It’s been an honor and a privilege.

E corde,

Ashley Blazek

2014-2015 NJCL Parliamentarian

Capturing the JCL on Camera

I suppose I should not be surprised by it anymore, but nationals is always the best week of my summer, and this year is no exception. My week at Trinity flew by, and I loved every moment of it. I am so grateful to have had the privilege to experience convention as an officer. Observing the intensity of spirit up close and taking it all in from the stage was magnificent. Being able to interact with so many JCLers and capture the fun and excitement on camera made the nearly sleepless nights absolutely worth it. I am satisfied with the contributions I made to my office this year and I am confident my successor will continue to make the NJCL Scrapbook more interactive and engaging to showcase the best of JCL. Many thanks to all photographers who submitted photos for the scrapbook, as my job would be impossible without you. You keep the history of JCL alive for future generations of JCLers to learn from, and as a historian, that is my passion. I am humbled by the intense devotion displayed by everyone who makes this organization so great, and I look forward to the next chapter.

Maximas gratias, ex imo pectore,

Sarah Christian
