Salvete omnes!

I hope you are all enjoying 2026 so far! Over the past few months, I have continued to take minutes at all officer meetings and at our formal mid-year check-in. I have enjoyed grading the monthly currency points for the website contest, which you can still submit to until April 1. I’ve loved meeting secretaries, webmasters, and community coordinators from across the country through our monthly GroupMe meetings.

I also have worked on the non-convention contest guides and a new monthly contest, both of which should be published soon so keep an eye out! I also can’t wait for the upcoming officer takeovers, so you can learn more about the NJCL board. In the meantime, I’ve launched the NJCL suggestion box (read more on page 28) where you can let us know what changes you’d like to see.

I look forward to seeing everyone at nationals in only a few months!

Salvete omnes!

Happy spring! Recently, I’ve been planning Classicalia with Stella (thank you so much to all the speakers for sharing their wonderful insights, and to all the attendees for spending their Saturdays with us; it was lovely to learn, write cards, and play games with you!) and reading through your C.O.T.M. submissions, which continue to amaze me (check out information on how your club can submit here: https://bit.ly/COTM25-26)!

Now, I’m turning my attention to spirit and service for the upcoming national convention, so keep an eye out for a packet covering those. Although it’s still months away, I can’t wait to see what creative, colorful, and cacophonous plans you all come up with! In the meantime, join the Second Vice President GroupMe to share your thoughts on and reminisce about spirit and service; I’d love to hear from you!

Curate et valeatis!
