Avete y'all and Happy Lupercalia!
Winter in parliamentarian land has been going well so far. I have been working on some constitutional amendments and hosting the JCL parliamentarian Among Us game! I truly have had a blast working with State and NJCL officers alike, and hope to keep that connection strong as we make our way through 2026. Looking ahead, I would recommend to all JCLers, but especially state and local officers, to think about running for NJCL office. Forms will be linked soon on the website, so just remember to obtain your sponsor's, parents', and State Chair's permission to run from your state. I know I'm excited for state, nationals, and elections, elections, elections, and I can't wait to see y'all there.
Salvete Omnes!
Winters almost over and It's definitely starting to warm up here in Georgia. I've been having a great time seeing and grading everyone's POTM submissions. Everyones been up to some fantastic things and I've had a great time at Classicalia meeting some of y'all. Just as a reminder, POTM submission dates are still at the end of every month (submit to the POTM contest here). The 2025 convention history has been finished and submissions for the NJCL art catalog are still open (I'm hoping to get this up soon)! This is a great opportunity to showcase your work so please consider submitting (submit to the catalog here). Additionally, the convention history guide will hopefully be up soon as well!
National convention is getting closer and closer and I'm getting super excited to see everyone! Don't be afraid to reach out to me at historian@njcl.org with any questions, comments, or concerns!
