Salvēte JCLers!
I can’t express how honored I am to be your Communications Coordinator this year and how excited I am to work with my board and you!
Since our last chat I have planned and run the Legamus!, a Latin book club. It is amazing to get to see JCLers from different states to discuss our books and is a highlight for the month. Speaking of months, each month I have also been highlighting non-convention contests (here’s a pdf version if you haven’t seen them yet) as judging the website contest for currency points (join the contest here!). With my fellow officers I attended the Fall Planning Meeting where I took minutes, looked around campus, bonded with my board, and planned
out convention details including the schedule and dance themes. Currently I am working on the Minute guide, Website guide, and the NJCL Google Space (go to page 30 to learn more!).
Please feel free to chat with me about any suggestions or questions you may have, and I can’t wait to see you all at Convention!

Salvete omnes,
Happy winter! I hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe Saturnalia season. These past few months have truly been a dream come true. Each month, I feel so happy to see the submissions to the Club of the Month contest (https://tinyurl.com/submitcotm). It is incredible to witness the service projects and activities that NJCL chapters are organizing nationwide! Here is another reminder that the due date for COTM is now at the end of the month. Nonetheless, since this is a mid-year change, I totally understand the potential confusion and will be sure to extend grace to all submissions.
In September, I had the pleasure of traveling to Miami, Ohio for the Fall Planning Meeting for the 2025 National
Convention. As I have been a member of the JCL since fifth grade, it was truly surreal to be in the “room where it happens.” I am eternally grateful for my fellow JCL officers for making that experience so fun and so memorable. Miami University has the most beautiful campus, and I am so excited for you all to join us this summer!
Currently, Yuki and I are planning both Classicalia and National Classics Week. We have an amazing line-up of speakers, activities, and service projects lined up, so please stay tuned! In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions by emailing [email protected]!
With JCLove,
Audrey Lin
