Salvete amici!
I am so excited for the work and projects of the board for this year! I am very grateful for our National Junior Classical League and amazing community. Since starting my term, I have been connecting with students and local and state JCL leaders. Through meetings I call “Promotionalia,” I lead discussions on starting JCL chapters and creating Classics clubs and programs with resources for grant funding, outreach timelines, and the process of promoting and expanding Classics.
In addition, the Latin Peer Tutoring program is up and running again for this year! I have also been working with Audrey to plan Classicalia and National Classics Week events for this year. I hope you will join us in celebrating Classics throughout this year, and I am so excited to see you this summer at Miami University!

I’ve had an amazing time these past few months serving as your president. To start off my term, I introduced myself to all the committee members, took over the Presidents’ GroupMe, and held the first NJCL officer meeting of the year. Then, I headed over to the Fall Planning Meeting to plan Convention, put into practice my rusty Parli Pro knowledge, and hosted the first set of officer takeovers on Instagram. I had an especially great time giving states unique shout outs and posting the “Which Officer Are You?” Buzzfeed Quiz!
After Fall Planning Meeting, I focused on planning the Zoom Game Night. I got to meet so many of you at this event, and I can’t wait for more Game Nights to come! In addition, I’ve joined the DEI and Development Committees. Currently, I’m outlining the Guide to Nationals and setting up Officer Logs.
