Salvete!

This winter has been a blast! I have enjoyed getting to read all of the incredible Club of the Month submissions for November, December, and January as well as making the impossible decision of judging those incredible submissions each month. I also made graphics for the Instagram to showcase all of the winners for each month. In January, I also contributed to the campaign corner. In addition to working on COTM, I have had the privilege of getting to work with the lovely NJCL First Vice President, Sophie Heitfeild, on planning Classicalia and National Classics Week. The themes are Lupercalia and the Kings of Rome, respectively. The NCW packet will be released soon! We both can’t wait to share it with everyone!

Salvete amici!

Since the last issue of the Torch U.S., I’ve been up to some super exciting projects. First, Convocatio was held on January 20, and there was a great turnout! Next, Classicalia: Lupercalia was on February 17, and it was another amazing event. Thank you to everyone who came out, we hope to be able to host more events like this! Recently, I hosted a meeting for the state secretaries/webmasters, and I plan to have another one soon, based on proper minute-taking techniques. In addition, I’ve taken minutes at all the NJCL officer meetings. I’ve also sent out two editions of the NJCL Newsletter, which are a great way to stay updated on NJCL Announcements. Similarly, I’ve revamped the NJCL Website Calendar to be a more updated grid, now including state events! Lastly, I’ve finalized some details for the Website Contest, which closes in April.
