Salvete omnes!

I want to express my deepest gratitude for electing me as your First Vice President. Since national convention, I have begun tackling publicity and promotion in our organization from multiple angles. For example, I have started a publicity workshop series for state and local officers and sponsors, which features experts who present on topics such as popular beginning-of-year events and (next up) recruiting middle schoolers. In addition to increasing membership, I have been working closely with state boards to expand chaptership; earlier this season, I sent state officers and chairs an email outreach template, a sample spreadsheet tracker, and a list of contacts (generously provided by the NLE committee). Lastly, Nolan and I continue to work diligently on creating the National Classics Week booklet. We have many fun surprises and new initiatives in store, so stay tuned!

NJCL 1st VP 2021-2022

NJCL President 2021-2022

Salvete, omnes,

I’ve spent my four months in office hard at work on many proposals for the NJCL, most of which aim to make the NJCL a more equitable and inclusive organization. At our fall planning meeting, I drafted and presented proposals on new need-based packet awards, an open meeting, and a new students’ DEI Committee. Outside of these proposals, I met with state presidents to discuss the year thus far, as well as introduced the new JCL Creed. If you’re curious about the new revisions, please join us on December 4th at 5pm EST (Register here!) to see and discuss them. As always, if you have any questions or thoughts on all-things NJCL, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]. Any email will be a welcome distraction from college essays.
