NATIONAL CLASSICS WEEK

We are pleased to share the 2022 National Classics Week packet with classics enthusiasts all over the globe! Please find the packet at bit.ly/2022ncw. National Classics Week, which this year will run from April 18th to April 24th 2022, is the National Junior Classical League’s annual exploration of ancient civilizations and their enduring impact on modern society. During this week of festivities, we invite students across the globe to participate in service and publicity projects that give back to their communities while promoting the study of these ancient classical cultures’ enduring legacies. This year’s National Classics Week theme is “Ancient Influences in the Modern Day,” and each day in the booklet contains a short entry explaining the contributions of various ancient civilizations to seven fields of human innovation: agriculture, medicine, law, arts, education, communication, and social science. These are accompanied by sample activity suggestions for the celebration of these ancient influences. Please email [email protected] or [email protected] with any questions. We look forward to seeing the events and initiatives you plan!
