NATIONAL COMMITTEE:

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT #2

NJCL CONSTITUTION

At this year's NJCL Convention, the election of only one chair occurred. During this election, Ms. Catherine Sturgill sought reelection for Public Relations/Membership Chair and will serve a second four year term.

This is the most drastic change of all the amendments. It reduces the minimum number of students required to have a chapter from five (5) to one (1). It also allows the creation of a chapter by individuals who attend a school which does not have a JCL chapter. It still requires a chapter to have an adult sponsor who is a member of the American Classical League. Any adult may join ACL. ACL members are not required to be teachers.
