officers (the loves of my life who I could not have survived without), the NJCL Committee (who ran everything behind the scenes with due diligence, passion, and love for which I am so grateful), Ms. Susan Schearer of VA (whose hard work archiving NJCL history gave me a glimpse into the rich past, present, and future of this organization), the Massachusetts and AMSA delegations (whose Jesse Hogan cheers and endless support allowed me to believe in myself), and all else who have allowed me to succeed this year. A special shoutout goes to Emma and Rachel of AMSA, for without whom I would never have fallen so deeply in love with this organization so dear to me.
It is extremely bittersweet seeing my time in service to the JCL come to a close. JCL, I am forever grateful that you gave me something I can never forget: a community, a source of inspiration, and a home. All the more reasons to love a dead language, eh?
For the last time, gratias vobis ago JCL, and valete.

attend this convention. You introduced me to this amazing home that I could now not imagine my life without. Thank you to both the Committee and SCL for making gatherings like these possible. Your work has, still is, and always will change lives as it changed mine. Thank you to my fellow officers who have made this journey so much more incredible. It’s been my honor to work with you guys. Special love for my home state the Georgia JCL for providing me with a tight-knit family and always taking me in with open arms. I will miss you guys so so much. Lastly, thank you to everyone for being a part of this organization. The Junior Classical League would not stand without you, and I hope each of you continue to safekeep the friendships and lessons you have acquired through your experiences here. For the very last time, valete!

serves it purpose (go check it out at bit.ly/njclscrap19)! It is the essence of what I’ve accomplished as your historian this past year, so I hope the photos and memories give you a chance to remember, reflect, and learn.
I’d like to thank my mentor, Miss Jordt, for her guidance over the past year, as well as my supportive fellow officers (the loves of my life who I could not have survived without), the NJCL Committee (who ran everything behind the scenes with due diligence, passion, and love for which I am so grateful), Ms. They say love makes you do crazy things. And I did crazy things, all right. My love for the classics and the Junior Classical League, brought me here writing a farewell
love outmatches that of anyone as I know the passionate, committed nature of students in the JCL. Whether athlete, a scholar, a certamen god, or all of the above, I’d like to thank you for your passion for this organization. Standing before you as a national officer gives me only a slightly better view of each and everyone one of you and the beautiful image you create together.
Thank you to my mentor, Mr. Kurt Ristroph, who has provided me with much guidance throughout my term. Your wisdom taught me far beyond the ropes of publication-making, and I will never forget the lessons you have taught me. Thank you to Mr. Farnsworth, my Latin teacher who unfortunately could not attend this convention. You introduced me to this amazing home that I could now not imagine my life without. letter to hundreds! However, I do not dare say that my love outmatches that of anyone as I know the passionate, committed nature of students in the JCL.
