A Powerful Network for GMercyU ' s Future
The circle of Mercy is timeless and limitless when it comes to advancing Gwynedd Mercy University’ s mission and enhancing its educational and philanthropic goals.
Working in tandem with the Board of Trustees, leadership team, and faculty and staff, GMercyU relies on members of its larger community to move the University forward.
PRESIDENT’ S COUNCIL
Established 20 years ago, The President’ s Council brings together community leaders who work alongside the President to advocate for the University’ s mission and forge partnerships in the community.
Membership is diverse, including professionals from various fields and regions who offer expertise, support, and professional networks. Whether providing strategic advice, volunteering for events, or mentoring students, their involvement enriches the university experience for all members of the GMercyU community. Members are also instrumental in building new partnerships within the local community and beyond.
“ As an alumnus, the President’ s Council has provided me with a unique opportunity to give back and play a role in shaping the University’ s future,” said Kevin Brooks‘ 81.
In addition, the group supports GMercyU with its philanthropic efforts, including both current and planned gifts. These contributions are crucial to sustaining and expanding the University’ s impact, particularly through the Mercy in Motion Campaign.
“ My involvement in the President’ s Council has been a meaningful way to give back to the University and stay connected with its incredible community,” said Robert Alston, Esq, Friedman, Schuman, Applebaum & Nemeroff, P. C., Principal.“ I’ m proud to contribute to advancing the mission of the University, and ensuring its continued growth and excellence for future generations. The University truly is the jewel in the Lower Gwynedd crown.”
ALUMNI BOARD
Reflecting the spirit of Mercy, GMercyU’ s Alumni Association seeks to advance the social, career, and volunteer interests of all alumni. This Association is led by a dynamic Alumni Board who share their time, talent, service and financial support with the entire GMercyU community.
“ I chose to serve on the Alumni Board because GMercyU made a wonderful and indelible impact on me. I give back to the community that embraced me and nourished my soul and my curiosity so that others may have that as well,” Board President Diane Doyle McCarthy’ 16 said.
