Building Futures, Making Connections

Gwynedd Mercy University’ s commitment to providing equitable access to education is rooted in our founding. Scholarships carry on this legacy by making a GMercyU education accessible and affordable.

GMercyU’ s Mercy in Motion campaign has embraced this responsibility, identifying scholarship support as a key priority of fundraising efforts. In fact, 43 new scholarships have been established since the campaign’ s start in January 2022 with more than $ 4M raised to support new and existing scholarships. This tremendous commitment has helped GMercyU amass the highest number of accepted students in two decades.
GMercyU honored those who have made these achievements possible at its Scholarship Donor Reception on Thursday, April 24. There, both donors and studentscholars gathered together for recognition and celebration.
“ Your generosity fuels our mission to prepare students for successful careers and meaningful lives in their communities. Your generosity is Mercy in Motion, providing a path forward for the next generation of Distinctive Mercy Graduates,” President D’ Emilio said at the event.“ My gratitude also extends to our studentscholars. You represent Mercy in Motion on campus and in your communities.”

Ijahnae Robinson ' 25, a recent graduate who earned her bachelor’ s degree in Public Health, was the recipient of the Clara Glover Endowed Scholarship during her time here, which helped her focus on academics and life on campus.
“ You don’ t just give financial support, you give encouragement, hope, and a reminder that we are never alone in our journey. That is what Mercy is all about. Being able to stand with others in their moment of need,” Ijahane said.“ Because of your generosity, I’ m not only grateful, but I’ m also inspired. I now carry with me a deep responsibility and desire to give back.”
