Gwynedd Mercy University officially unveiled the Frank O . Genuardi Legends Baseball and Softball fields with a blessing and dedication ceremony in April 2024 .
The long-awaited renovations to GMercyU ’ s baseball and softball fields were made possible by a generous $ 1 million donation from the Genuardi Family Foundation in memory of Frank O . Genuardi , long-serving member of the Board of Trustees and benefactor of the University .
The fields include new scoreboards , bullpens , batting tunnels , dugouts , backstops , fencing , and a new turf field for the baseball team and a new dirt softball field as preferred for the sport . The softball field also features a new warning track .
In addition to being home to our baseball and softball teams , the fields have become a popular tournament destination for external organizations .
