The “Domino Girls,” as they are called, meet every Friday for a
game at the Meridian Activity Center. The only time it is quiet is
if one of them is concentrating on where to place her tile. But that usually
doesn’t last long because someone always has a funny story or piece of
news to share.
“We have a lot of fun here,” said Carol Brown of Meridian. “The center
offers us a friendly place to come and play. It is in a very safe neighbor-
hood, and we have such good times.”
Fellow domino player Kathy Rollins agrees.
“I have been coming to the center for at least 25 years before it even
moved to this location,” she said. “I have taken many of the classes here
because they give me something to do. I really like the fellowship and get-
ting together with my friends. The center’s director is wonderful, too. She
really takes care of us.”
