“ He said ‘ Ann I need you to help me do what God has called me to do .’”
So , Nunnally pushed past her fear and trusted her husband and God , and in 1993 the couple became ordained ministers . As she and her husband transitioned from their lives as a mechanical engineer and a local business owner , Nunnally still had to push herself outside her comfort zone .
“ In those early years , I was just kind of like the children of Israel ,” said Nunnally . “ I wanted to go back to Egypt . You know , forget the promised land , let me go back where I can be a normal woman . But now , I wouldn ’ t go back for the world . I just know that I ’ m where God calls me .”
Nunnally and her husband would go on to start a local church in Thomasville five years later in 1997 . They named the church Victory Fellowship Church . And it was this , the seemingly inconsequential decision to name their church Victory Fellowship Church , that would change Nunnally ’ s life .
Before Nunnally was an ordained minister , there was another minister in South Africa named Dr . Thomas Nxumalo , who founded a church that he
