Ann Nunnally hugs a young girl after presenting her with a dress made by her high school friend Kathy Anders . called Victory in Fellowship Church in 1989 . However , 27 years later , the pastor was discouraged . As Nunnally put it , he was “ crying out to the Lord for help .” As he was looking for answers , the pastor stumbled upon a church in south Georgia with a name similar to his church ’ s . Victory Fellowship Church . Nunnally ’ s church . He also saw that the church was having a conference in the fall , so he took a trip from South Africa to a small town in South Georgia to meet the people who may be able to help him .
After attending the conference and inviting Nunnally to South Africa , the two kept in touch . Nunnally began her work in training local ministers , something they needed badly in South Africa .
“ In January of 2017 , I sent him a picture of the very first class that I had trained and graduated locally ,” said Nunnally . “ He wrote back and he said , ‘ Oh pastor Ann , that is what I need . I need to raise up ministers to help me do the work and take care of these satellite churches that are being raised up .”
So , 50 years after a 16-year-old Ann Nunnally made a commitment to follow God wherever he took her , she was headed to South Africa to train ministers .
But , she had some work to do first . Nunnally spent the better part of a month writing out a detailed curriculum , spelling out the steps they would take to train ministers in South Africa . It was no easy task .
“ One day I said to my self , oh my goodness did I just start a bible school in South Africa ?”
There were points when Nunnally felt like she was in over her heard . But , trust in God and faith in His plan for her outweighed those concerns and before Nunnally knew it , she was off to train ministers in South Africa .
