Instead, the company suggests that the future of purchasing lies with bioauthentication, with devices like their veinscanning cash register that uses the vein pattern in your hand to prevent credit card fraud. Similar technology is already being used with ATMs in Brazil and Italy, but has yet to gain a foothold in the US. With new package delivery service Parcel, the problem can be avoided for a five dollar fee.
