Expectations of Intern
This position is considered a leadership position. It is
expected the intern performs his/her job professionally in
the following ways:
• Provide positive and effective customer service for
participants, families, team members and the
community according to NSSRA’s Customer Service
Standards
• Become well-versed in NSSRA’s mission, vision and
values
• Know and follow personnel, safety, fiscal and agency
policies and procedures
• Lead, mentor and respond to the needs of participants
and team members with an encouraging attitude
• Prioritize responsibilities through strong time
management and organizational skills, producing
quality work consistently and meeting all deadlines
• Demonstrate independent judgment and sound
decision-making skills
• Handle confidential information discreetly and
professionally
• Show strong ability to adapt to changes in all aspects of
the job, including assigned tasks, scheduling and new
or unforeseen circumstances
• General proficiency in Microsoft Office and able to
competently create and maintain documents, budgets
and file systems
• Complete internship requirements
