GOLFNEWS may just be capable of dominating the game and giving it some new life. It may seem unfair to be critical of Park. She hits the ball straight, she finds greens and she holes putts. But it is all so, well, boring. There must be a personality in there somewhere but Park keeps it well hidden. She shows no flicker of emotion, whether she has just holed a 40-foot putt for an eagle or missed a tiddler for a nine. And her swing is slow. Painfully slow, and deliberate. Without meaning to be unkind, it is difficult to get worked up about somebody who plays the game the way she does. At least with the likes of Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr and Lewis you know what they are feeling. A birdie will be accompanied by a fist pump, a mistake will be followed by a scowl, a club buried in the ground. And because they wear their hearts on their sleeves, you root for them.
