Magic of Friendship (Continued)
Naina’s house was
just 2 minutes away
from the school, so
she used to walk
down everyday.
While crossing the
road, she spotted a
tiny puppy
whimpering in the
middle, even as a black car from the opposite direction
was closing in. Naina ran blindly to save the pup. She
scooped it in her arms and made it to the other side,
missing the car by barely few inches. That was one lucky
escape.
Naina took the puppy to her house and told her mother
about the whole incident. Although her mother scolded
Naina for being careless with her own safety, she was
happy that her daughter had saved a life.
Next day in school, Naina read a notice on the bulletin
board. It was written by her classmate Ananya,
requesting everyone in school to look for her pet
pooch—a Golden Retriever called Bruno—who was
missing since yesterday afternoon. The details matched
exactly with the puppy at home.
She went to Ananya and told her the entire story. After
the school, both the girls went to Naina’s house to check
whether the puppy was Bruno. On seeing her pet safe,
Ananya started jumping with joy. She hugged Naina and
thanked her for saving Bruno’s life.
In fact, this was just the beginning. Eventually, both of
them became very good friends. Ananya even introduced
Naina to other friends in school. Occasionally, she
thought of her old school and Tania, but did not miss
them much-- now she had her own gang of friends. Life
was fun and games again, as her mother had promised.
