much time on research at his nearby library. Russ Smith enjoys good health, walks and plays golf a lot. Dick Harris…still in Petersburg, N.J., is now without dogs after 32 years working with them in his home. Wayne and Ruth Zimmerman are on the mend from a rear end auto accident in October. Rep RON is still doing volunteer work with the Lions and the Masons and a lot less contracting. George Gillespie has decided to sell his ’67 Olds Cutlass and thinking about a possible move to Florida. Will he still keep all the trophies from years of car shows??? I spoke to Terry Earll, and he’s still trying to establish a Florida alumni group. A luncheon in late march is being planned. This year, 2015, there are many dates to remember. Founder’s Day has obviously passed by now. We will have the luncheon at WTS on April 14, 1 p.m., Alumni Day on May 30. Next August, we plan another 5W4 weekend in the Pocono’s on the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. Homecoming Day at WTS is Oct. 24 and, hopefully, another Christmas lunch in Newtown on Dec. 17. Hey Alumni…this 5W4 class is ROLLING — try and follow some of our ideas to bring you classes together!!! Well…this effort for me today is just about done. Let me close as I often do recently with two quotes that I like. 1. Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others… Booker T. Washington. 2. Always make a total effort, even when the odds are against you… Arnold Palmer. For now…smile a while, take your meds, and leave something to WTS in your will! I had a phone call from Harry Brown and not much has changed since my last article. Jerry Watson and I paid a visit to Joe Whiteside at his new residence. Joe and Ann are now living at Christopher Dock in the Terrance Complex. Joe has dementia and is in a wheelchair. Ann also lives on the same ground but a different complex. No need to elaborate any more, but I will keep you up to date as best I can. Please try to keep Alumni Day open and make an effort to attend. This will be our 60th year since graduation. Let me know if you have any thoughts about getting together. Otherwise, my plans for Alumni Day will be the same as last year. That is dinner somewhere close to the Williamson area. That’s it for now. [On Jan. 18, shortly after this letter was submitted, Joe Whiteside passed away. Upon receiving his luncheon invitation, Bob Rutters sent a note with regrets to Jack Perkins, Luncheon Committee chairmanat-large. Bob and Sandy reside in Georgia and had traveled north in late August for a visit. Regrettably, they would not be in the area on the
