my great-grandson gets a little annoyed with
me when he has to explain to me how to play
one of his computer games…He is eight. Hope
everyone had a nice Christmas and I wish everyone all good things in 2015.
Russ and Betty Harvey: Finally, I have a few
minutes to slow down. Rev, I never want to lose
that connection with you guys. As I told you, I
really appreciated being accepted as one of you
and not an add on. I start 37 years in January.
Believe me, I have really enjoyed my time here.
Betty has quite a ways to go to really enjoy life
as she used to, but never complains and has a
great attitude. Tell the guys that in the picture
of me in costume, I was portraying Mr. Williamson not Abe Lincoln as Robbie had said.
That was part of celebrating our school’s 125th
anniversary. It’s hard to realize so many years
have passed since we were together. A lot of
these students would have fit right in with us.
Some very studious, athletic, comical, but all in
all a great group of young men. Take care and
have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
John Heibeck: It was good talking to you today. I am going to have surgery on my spine in
mid January and I was pleased to hear that you
had the surgery about 12 years ago and it was
very successful. It was referred to as Lumbar
Spinal Stenosis. There is concern, as you get
older. The medicine used to put you to sleep
could put you in great danger and there is a
possibility you can die from it. I am not concerned about it. I look forward to being able to
walk more than one block again. I would like to
wish all a very merry Xmas and good health in
2015. 5W1 Heibeck
Fred and Mary Kreiser: Former classmates,
may the God of peace and joy in Christ Jesus
be your portion. We greatly enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with ten around our table and
fellowship in our home and hearts. My health
is improved since my August overnight in St.
Joseph Mercy Hospital. Right foot very weak.
Root canal tooth turned out bad. Praise the
Lord. Fred 5W1
Richard and Doris Rehrer: Lloyd, Doris and
I have had a very blessed time here in Florida.
The weather is great and we are being visited
by all our relatives and some friends. Living in
Florida attracts just about everyone because of
the weather and the attractions. For example,
my younger brother is stopping here before
going to a pigeon convention in Spring Hill,
Fla. Others go to Disney or any of the other attractions. We are healthy except for a few “old
people problems,” nothing serious. God bless
you all. Reds
Lloyd and Virginia Rennix: Virginia is still
recuperating from her new right knee replacement. I went to the VA Medical Center in
Minneapolis for my yearly check and also got
my flu shot while there. I have very bad neuropathy in both my legs, but manage to still get
around. I use a real nice “walker” the VA gave
me and drive a car with hand controls. Happy
December 12th birthday, Dick Stolte. On Dec.
12th, I turned 83 years old and Dick turned 84
years old.
John and Pippa Robbins: Dear Lloyd, Just
to report everything is going well in the Robbins’ household. Had lunch with Dick Stolte
while Pippa was home visiting her sick mother
in Dublin, Ireland, for the third time this year.
Her mother passed away in September at the
age of 93. We are going to Los Angeles on Dec.
29 to get away from the Philadelphia winter.
Still building a passive home in Virginia, very
low energy home, to keep busy. We are going
to Australia and New Zealand in 2015 for three
weeks; looking forward to that trip. Wishing
you all a very Happy New Year. Sincerely, Pippa
and Jack
Richard Stolte: Hi, classmates, hope you are
all doing well and your health is good. I’ve recovered completely from my ostomy operation,
and I’m ready to travel solo. Miss my beautiful
wife, Sue, tremendously, but life does go on!
Robbie and I, with his charming wife, Pippa,
meet about once a month for lunch. Nice to
have my old scoundrel roomie nearby! Going
to Annapolis, Md., for a week this December.
Then after the holidays, I’m flying down to
Florida to visit my cousin, Harry, in Ft. Pierce
for a couple weeks in Ja
