18 Ron likes to fish. They will be living between two daughters so they will see a lot more of the grandchildren. As we know, you never retire from the Lord’s work but we can retire from the message planning and some of the counseling and hospital visitation. Not being able to see our grandchildren several times a week would really upset my dear wife. We have one daughter that only lives two houses away so we see her two children a lot. The middle daughter lives about 40 miles away in Denver, Pa., so we see her two about once a week. I am still looking for information on where Ron Kramer is located. Dave Andrew noted, George Patton had contact with Frank Torpey, but no news came from George or Frank so I have nothing to report. I understand the following members attended the “George Patton Open”: Dave Andrew, Rick Plewa, George Patton, and Sam Ray. I never got a written report, but this is what I remember. If I missed anyone I’m sorry. As a side note to Ron Rhoads, I lost your phone number. Please call/e-mail/write so I can get it. To all the others, please contact me with news of your life so I can pass it on to the others. Please also remember in a few years we will be having out 50th reunion and I would like to be able to contact all surviving class members to try to get them there. Class Representative, “The Mayor” Dick Dilworth By the time this is mailed, Augie will probably have returned from his retirement cruise to the Caribbean and will be getting ready to take on an Alaskan cruise. If so, send me info to pass on to the rest of the class; maybe a picture or two. Again with the benefits of writing these articles over a period of several weeks: Augie plans on attending our reunion in the fall, but wants more info. All I know at this point is the date: Oct. 27. I’m sure the school will be sending out more info as the time gets closer. Ron Miller let me know he’s looking forward to the reunion and that he misses the ones we used to have on our own. He and Jerry Johnston did a bang up job of organizing them for all those years. It’s just a shame the interest wasn’t there. I heard from Ken Landis also, but that news made it in time for the last Williamsonian. I also heard from Ron Westbrook via e-mail. He, too, has begun to wear the retirement hat. It appears he and his wife are into making trips on their Honda Goldwing. Ron plans on taking some consulting work just to keep himself busy. That’s about it for now, here’s hoping all is well with everyone and, hopefully, we’ll be seeing you in October. Steve 67 W Gentlemen: Hello to all of you. Hope you are well and enjoying this very warm summer. Received a couple of updates that I would like to share with you. From Tom Turnbaugh (tturnbaugh1@verizon. net): “Just a short note to let you know I retired from education. I work a few days a month for the Pennsylvania Builders Association coordinating their Secondary and Post-Secondary Endorsement Programs. Takes me back to technical education in schools across the state. I have been very fortunate to have been in public education and nearing social security with the hopes funding will be in place when I file next year. Recently spoke with Joe Selgrade who just retired from a CTC. I am healthy and still with Marianne. I live in Lebanon, Pa.” Harry Lane ([email protected]) writes, “Thanks to your editorials, I got in touch with Fran Monahan. We spoke for an hour one evening just trying to catch up on 44 years. It was great hearing all about his life adventures. I’m sure we will hook up sometime before the grass covers over us. You mentioned an informal Shady Maple get-together later this year. Count me in, my friend. I love that place although it’s getting more expensive. Years ago, the furniture surrounding the fireplace was an inspiration to my mother-inlaw. She loved that big couch so much she bought one just like it for her home in Nottingham, Pa. The delivery people were not very happy since there was only one door it fit through! Well, Ed, my honey-do list is growing by the minute, so I’d better cut this short. Keep in touch and let me know when the Shady Maple deal comes up. Also, remember West Chester is not too far from Wilmington, in case our paths cross! Friends, as I had said in the last Williamsonian, I would like to see if those alumni living in the area of the Shady Maple, Honey Brook, Pa., region are interested in a get-together for a great lunch on a weekday in October — maybe Friday the 19th or 26th? Send me an e-mail or call me, if you think you can attend and which date is best. I hope you get your Williamsonian before those posted dates. Take care and stay well, Ed Steve Nash 205 Red Fox Court Asbury Chase Middletown, DE 19709 302-376-9680/302-383-6860 (cell) [email protected] Hi guys, As many of you may already know, on June 2, 2012, our classmate Atlee Rhinehart was honored by the school with the Distinguished Alumnus Award. I talked to the individual who nominated Altee and found out he perceives Atlee as an individual that truly epitomizes what a Williamson graduate is: hard working, diligent, honest, involved with his community, God-fearing, a good family man, and any more good attributes you can think of. Congratulations, Atlee, you deserve it. I attended the President’s Breakfast on Alumn H^H[
