solved. The air conditioning has been a blessing
this summer. As we get closer to our 50th year
since graduation, I’m hoping the rest of the class
has not been put on the deceased list, and will
think about coming out to be a part of it. Don’t
forget to send your school a check!!

Greetings Classmates,
The 2nd Billy Messerschmidt Memorial 6W5
Mini-Reunion was last Wednesday and was a
great day. The weather was absolutely beautiful, in stark contrast to last year. There was the
possibility of a thunder shower at 4 p.m., but it
never happened. When I called Knoebels several months ago to make the reservation, I said,
“We’re a small group of old guys that just want
to talk, is there a quiet corner you can stick us
in?” Well, they gave us the perfect little pavilion
tucked in a quiet corner with plenty of shade and
privacy. The people at Knoebels were great!!
Newly retired, Marty Hetrick and wife Jane
were at Knoebels for the first time with their
two grandsons, Jacob and Daniel. The boys had
been there before so they were anxious to show
their grandparents around. Marty just retired after 47 years in the power industry. The Hetricks
live in Downingtown and have a summer home
at Lake Wallenpaupack. Marty bought a second
boat which is a wooden 1961 Chris Craft that he
plans to restore. The Hetricks have two boys and
a girl. Their oldest son, Brian, is a commercial pilot for United/Continental Airlines. He is married
with two boys. Second son, Jeffrey, is a physical
therapist/manager at St. Luke’s in Allentown. He
is also married with two boys. Their youngest,
Karen, is a social worker, counseling in substance
