BY ALEX TILBURY
RAY WHITE RURAL DAYBORO | EUMUNDI IS A GENUINE FAMILY BUSINESS WITH THREE GENERATIONS .
When most of her friends were easing into retirement Dell Pain became a rookie real estate agent at age 70 . The former farmer started studying to get her real estate licence and joined her daughter Vicki Pain in her business , Ray White Rural Dayboro in 2017 .
“ She came to help me out for a couple of weeks and is still with me . She always wanted to try her hand at real estate . We have had a lot of laughs along the way , like when she was filling out the paperwork to get her licence and one of the questions was how long has it been since you have attended an educational institution ? Well that would be 50 something years ago !” Vicki said .
“ She came into my office one day and informed us that she wasn ’ t sure she had enough time left in her life to learn all the things she wanted to but now she is a whizz at Vault and all the systems .
“ Mum is always positive , always smiling and always happy .”
Vicki said it was an honour to be a family business within a family business like Ray White .
“ It is something I am proud to be a part of ,” she said .
“ I owe the success of my business not only to Ray White but both my parents Bill and Dell Pain , as I have watched them also run very successful rural businesses .”
The Pains originally had a cattle , grain and dairy farm on the Darling Downs before selling up and retiring to Cooroy in the Noosa hinterland in 2003 .
“ Having a true rural background , we offer our clients true country trust , loyalty and dedication to achieving the highest possible price .”
