TIPS

• In the morning it ’ s about not snoozing your alarm and lots of caffeine .
• I stick to the same routine everyday because I find if you mix it up , it starts to throw things out of whack .
• HIIT training is great , I don ’ t like to think too much in the morning , I just want to go workout . I find group training really motivating as well .
• Having loud music and a good atmosphere always gets me going in the morning .
• Have a goal for your workout , some structure and do something you really love . If you don ’ t enjoy it , you ’ re going to stop and lose everything you ’ ve worked towards .
• Morning training is good to clear your head . I find if I don ’ t train in the morning , it takes longer for me to get in the zone at work .

Azaya ran this year ’ s City2Bay . She was raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation , a cause close to her heart after her partner survived the disease . She raised over $ 900 .

• It ’ s AM training for me . I am lying to myself If I ever say I ’ m going to run or hit the gym after work .
• Invest in nutritional coaching .
• 80 / 20 FOOD ! Eat your veggies and hit your protein goals but give yourself that 20 per cent of eating foods you enjoy ... this prevents binge eating .
• Make your runs enjoyable ! If you are like me and get easily bored clocking KMs on the treadmill , try and take your workout outdoors ( especially as the weather gets warmer ). Try the beach or a local walking trail .
