Columbiettes Celebrate Second Installation
By Audry L. Lynch
On September 20, the Columbiettes,
the national women’s auxiliary of the
Knights of Columbus celebrated their
second installation of officers for the
Bishop O’Dowd Council #3474 Chapter.
The installation took place at St. Thomas
of Canterbury Church before a special
2 PM Mass. Their new Chaplain, Father
Steve Kim, celebrated the Mass.
The Installation was coordinated
by Vic LoBue, the Grand Knight of the
Bishop O’Dowd Council # 3474. The
new officers wore white robes and the
jewels designating their respective offices. Dave Jerger, District Deputy #30
placed the jewels on each of the seven
officers. Immediate Past President Pat
Miller provided the music for the Mass.
A night reception welcoming the
Council’s Columbiettes on their Installation Day was held that night at the
Knights of Columbus, Santa Maria
Hall, 2211 Shamrock Drive, Campbell.
It started with Sangrias at the bar,
followed by a Fiesta dinner by Chef
Brother Oscar Martinez of the Bishop
O’Dowd Council #3474 and company.
A dessert cake, featuring their logo, was
provided by the Columbiettes.
The new Columbiette officers are:
President, Diana Seixas; Vice-President,
Carol Jerger; Secretary, Sandee Woodham; Treasurer, Diana Dalton; Financial
Secretary, Betty Teresi; Sentinel, Donna
Wojtkowski; Past President, Pat Miller.
