Our strong reputation
The University has earned a reputation as one of Britain’s finest
teaching universities, a source of ground-breaking research and
a proving ground for fresh talent.
Hull regularly features at the top end of teaching quality league
tables. The Guardian’s University Guide 2013 ranked Hull among
England’s top 10 higher education institutions for satisfaction
with teaching and overall student satisfaction – and we do
well in the area of employability, with 93% of our students
progressing to employment or further study within six months
of graduation.

Outstanding research, of the kind described above, also
contributes to the University’s solid reputation. The most recent
national Research Assessment Exercise revealed that 80%
of research submitted by the University was of international
standard in terms of originality, significance and rigour.
Perhaps the University is best known, though, for its welcoming
atmosphere and sense of community on campus.
