FEATURED MOTHER OF FILM

“ Change is an essential part of life . It makes way for growth and challenges us to adapt .”

ROBIN LEAVITT

Leadership Coach

Robin Leavitt is happily retired , but her dedication to making the world better for those who don ’ t have a voice of their own has never wavered .
To Robin , storytelling is the way we get to know one another . In the course of her varied career in HR and leadership coaching , she was able to learn a lot about people through their tales . It allowed her to experience more empathy , to view new perspectives and ways of life , and to set aside judgment in others . She believes that storytelling is good for one ’ s health . It serves as a way to relieve stress , trauma , and pressure , and for people to relate to one another in the same way we always have - through story .
Her superpower is being a keen listener and an excellent communicator , helping people in leadership or management positions learn how to communicate in a positive way and still get the job done … “ without being jerks ”.
A lover of emotional , moving films , Robin says , “ I want to leave a movie thinking about it for more than a few minutes . I want it to have an emotional impact . I ’ ve also learned recently how much the score of a story or film affects the project , the way it lends itself to the story . It was fun to have such a big a-ha moment about the score .”
Robin has an enthusiasm for people , and change . Though she ’ s found many people are frightened by change ( sometimes to the point of being paralyzed by it ) she is skilled at helping them see the light at the end of the tunnel : that change is a good thing , the maker of something new ; and that to embrace change is to be attuned with one ’ s higher self .
