Throughout her life , Elizabeth has found inspiration across a wide array of movies and genres , though she does not claim a single favourite . The stories that have most profoundly influenced her trace back to her childhood and early teens , particularly the novels of S . E . Hinton . Hinton ' s work exposed Elizabeth to worlds and injustices far removed from her smalltown Alabama upbringing , igniting her initial passion for justice and the fair treatment of those society has mistreated .
