THE SPORTSMEN ’ S ALLIANCE FOUNDATION : 501 ( C ) 3
The Foundation performs legal defense , research and public education . It works hand-in-hand with the Alliance to ensure that sportsmen have the best possible representation and most effective defense possible . Our Office of Litigation Counsel and our educational programs , which aim to get families involved in the outdoors and to educate the public and decisionmakers , are examples of the work performed by the Foundation . Contributions from individuals to the Foundation are tax deductible .
LEGAL WORK All lawsuits and legal work are a function of the Foundation . If you specifically want to support legal actions , such as holding California responsible for Constitutional violations , ensuring the U . S . Fish and Wildlife Service follows the law when crafting regulations or ensuring game commissioners like those in Washington follow the law , then you can give directly to those efforts through the Sportsmen ’ s Legal Defense Fund .

EDUCATION Today , our newest and most impactful education effort is aimed at bringing wildlife conservation directly into the classroom . “ Conservation Science ,” a STEM-based highschool science curriculum , teaches high-school students about the recreational activities that fund the North American Model of Conservation ( hunting , fishing , trapping , recreational shooting ) through the lens of science , which they take for credit to graduate .
RESEARCH Keeping state agencies , legislators and the public informed on the impact and needs of the sporting community is yet another prong of the Foundation . Our research spans the gamut from recruitment , retention and reactivation strategies to funding mechanisms and the costs of losing hunting .
