This year, two of the Alpha Sigma faculty were nominated by either Phi Lambda Sigma and Rho Chi to be inducted into their respective chapters. Dr. Beatrice Drambarean was inducted to the pharmacy leadership society, Phi Lambda Sigma, on April 12th, 2017 along with students and other faculty members. Dr. Drambarean’s contributions to not only Phi Delta Chi, but to her students as a professor and advisor were recognized as she was inducted into the Phi Lambda Sigma – Alpha Iota chapter. Dr. Thomas Chiampas was inducted to the pharmacy honor society, Rho Chi, and joined fellow students during the Rho Chi initiation on April 13th, 2017. Dr. Chiampas was also recognized for his contributions as an advisor and professor and was nominated to be inducted into the Rho Chi – Phi chapter. For the past couple of years, the Alpha Sigma chapter has gone through many changes and both Dr. Drambarean and Dr. Chiampas have been there for guidance and support. Their efforts to assist the chapter and also be there for their students consistently showed, year after year. It’s no surprise that after years of their dedication and leadership, that they were recognized and honored by being inducted this year to Phi Lambda Sigma and Rho Chi. The Phi Delta Chi Alpha Sigma chapter thanks them for everything that they’ve done and will continue to do.
