face . Raman believes that when people are young , they don ’ t have that many experiences or sources of inspiration to write about . When stuck in such situations Raman takes a break from creating music and listens to other artists while searching inside himself to figure out what he wants to create . He describes the phase of separating the idea of what kind of music one wants to create from simply what one feels is cool as the ’ grey ’ area . He suspects that many young artists go through this grey area .
But very few things are colourless in this youthful singer ’ s life . He quickly bounced back to raise a strong point in favour of being a young artist . “ One benefit of starting off as a young artist is people ’ s faith in you . They think “ Oh you are young and talented ”, they are invested in how far you can go .” Although Raman himself is a firm believer that anyone can pick up any skill set at any age if
they are passionate enough about it .
Reminiscing , Raman admits that his brother , Soham played a huge part when it came s to how Raman is as an artist . He says “ There are certain projects that I know Soham would do very well in , and that ’ s when I approach him . I don ’ t like to show roughs of projects a lot .” While shyly smiling , he continued “ Unfortunately , the people who I work with get to see that a lot . I know what Soham can do to a song since he has a very unique skill set . I know he can bring those to the table with those songs . That is the only time when I approach him . And he also approaches me when he wants something in his music . Though we are trying to explore our own music independently , we are also making some things together .”
Raman also shared his future plans of collaborations . He said
“ Collaborations are required for any artist to grow and be exposed to different kinds of art . But as I said , being young and figuring out your own sound can become a complicated task . A clear idea of what you actually want to make , and what kind of songs you make when you collaborate with people is important . I think once I have established myself with a few songs and people know what kind of music Raman makes , I feel like then I can bring Raman to other people ’ s tables , rather than me being on somebody else ’ s table .”
Raman has already garnered many fans and is set to plan out his career one step at a time , while carefully gauging his outer and inner world . He has his own unique music style and making more music will only cement his mark on the music industry in the future .
