Scotland 17 - 7 Latvia
Scotland went 3 wins out of 3 with a convincing defeat of Latvia.
At times the Latvians seemed completely unable to guard against the the Scottish shooters who found time and room with little effort. This is apparent through Scotland having 8 different players on the score sheet.
In the end Scotland saw out the game easy with a very comfortable 10 goal lead.
4
Scotland 9 - 7 Finland
Scotland took to the main field on 14th June for what was to be their closest game of the 2014 World Championships so far. Both teams came into the fixture keen to continue their unbeaten run.
The Finnish players appeared well drilled but by the 4th quarter both teams seemed to enter into a stalemate with each side being complacent with the ball, missing passes and dropping balls on most possessions.
Again Scotland's Ryan Sage, was able to make the play to get the Scottish squad back in motion with a tight angle jumping goal putting Scotland back up by 3. This allowed Scotland to finish off what was a close game with some extended possession.
5
Scotland 9 - 7 New Zealand
While Scotland always maintained a cushioned lead New Zealanders began to eat into the 13-4 lead. Through some fantastic play New Zealand were able to bring the score back to 16-12 late in the fourth quarter.
The New Zealand squad were able to capitalise on some of the lingering weaknesses in the Scotland side that were not weeded out in the group stages, but by the end of the match, Scotland had corrected their mistakes and began to look and function as a team worthy of Blue Division status.
