NETBALL Senior VII

After two years of no school netball , it has been great to get back playing . It has been such a great season , although still a tough one – not playing a single match with our full team . However , we have managed – trying and finding new positions . Our standout match of the season would have to be against Sedbergh , with a 44-29 win . All the girls put in all their effort and it was , without a doubt , the best game we played – one to remember !
Mrs Walker and Miss Rees , you have been brilliant coaches to us , and on behalf of all of us , we ’ d like to thank you both . Girls , you ’ ve been an amazing team and I will miss playing with you all – although I won ’ t miss travelling to Ampleforth !
Wish you all the best of luck in the next season , girls ! And can ’ t wait to play against you in the OP game . Same time next year !
Player of the Season : Maddie Parkinson Most Improved Player : Amy Jordan
Special mention to an amazing captain for me and the girls : Ruby Remblance

3rd VII

The energy and teamwork the girls brought to each match was phenomenal . The performances and fitness improved during every match .
Strong passing down the centre court and secure defending . The scores didn ’ t reflect the positivity the girls conveyed thought each of the games . A great season , well done everyone .
Player of the Season : Izzy Scanlon Most Improved Player : Irene Gutiérrez Modamio

U16 VII

It has been a wonderful season of netball , with great enthusiasm and some wonderful play from all the girls . We have had a range of players in the squad who all contributed to the dynamics of the team . We started off the season with a victory against Tranby , 24-7 – playing fluidly as a team despite not having trained together much – and then went on to have victories against Hill House , 35-7 , and Scarborough College ,, 9-5 . Our excellent teamwork , communication and positive approach played a significant role this season and I would like to thank all the players and coaches for their help and encouragement this season !
