U14 XI

YORKSHIRE SCHOOLBOYS ’ QUARTER FINALISTS
The U14A team had a difficult start to the season , with a small handful of games cancelled due to frost and ice on the pitch ; however , once the weather improved the boys were up and running and raring to play in a season that would , thankfully , be unhindered by the pandemic .
Altogether , the results haven ’ t always gone our way , but we finished in a positive position – together as a squad , no doubt looking forward to next season . They have worked thoroughly hard together , and I would be hard pushed to remember a side as reliable , enthusiastic and good natured as this one . I have no doubt that they will continue to grow as a squad and , with time , will mature into a team of genuine quality .

U13 VII

The boys have enjoyed what can be called a successful season . It has seen us win the first round of the In2Hockey tournament at Hymers , as well as get through to the semi-finals of the YSHA tournament at
Weetwood . Each boy playing hockey in the year group , has played at least three matches for the school , and we have had an amazing 16 boys represent the A team across the season .
The boys should be extremely proud of all that they have achieved this year , and I am excited for next year as they progress to 11-a-side hockey .
Players of the Season : Ben Ainsworth and Jack Dicconson

U12 VII

A TEAM = P9 / W1 / D1 / L7
B TEAM = P7 / W4 / D1 / L2
C TEAM = P6 / W0 / D0 / L6
The U12 squad have been a credit to the school . They have demonstrated a variety of qualities needed to improve , such as resilience , listening to feedback and motivating others . Following a cold snowy start to the season and several cancelled games , the boys bounced back , enjoying competitive fixtures at home and travelling away .
It has been a pleasure to work with over 25 committed players and it has been fantastic to see so many boys participate in hockey fixtures for the first time . Teamwork has been at the heart of their development and each player should be proud of how much they have contributed . The squad have been committed to training and have worked hard to develop their skills and knowledge in games sessions .
Highlights must include the B team success , with victories against St Peter ’ s , Hymers , Bradford Grammar and Scarborough College , demonstrating strength and depth in the squad . A mention must also go to the A team
victory at Hymers , a fantastic team effort in a closely contested game . Losses made the A team stronger and allowed them to draw a tight game against St Peters . The C team were able to compete in several fixtures for the first time and have really improved their technical and tactical knowledge . I hope the enthusiasm and passion for hockey will continue to grow next year .
Players of the Season : Freddie Frisby , Will Hamblin and Jude Nolan
