Review 2020-21
The Equestrian team have had a successful year and are looking forward to the National Championships in October , where we hope to take a minimum of six teams , plus the nine riders who have qualified individually .
During lockdown , the focus was dressage – an excellent discipline both for horse and rider . Many of the team participated in the online dressage competitions , where you must film a test and send it in to be judged . In the ‘ Pop-up ’ dressage series , Daisy Shepherd won the ‘ Intro Competition ’ and came 4th in the Preliminary section , and Polly Raper came 3rd in the Novice Championship Qualifier , meaning both girls have secured their individual Championship places .
Whenever it has been possible , the majority of the team have been competing either in the show-jumping arena or over cross-country fences in One Day Events ( ODE ). Individual qualifiers for show jumping include Sophia Elliott , Hope Jones , Emily Jones , Harriet Jacklin , Harriet Hodge , Martha Lee , Daisy Shepherd , and Julian Brittenden . Noah Marsh and Charlie Lindley qualified for the Eventers ’ Challenge and ODE Championships , respectively . With team members Gabriella Marsh , Poppy Levitt , Emily O ’ Gram , and Lucinda O ’ Gram , we feel ready to take our largest ever squad to the Championships !
