U14B VII P7 / W2 / D0 / L5 The U14B team have had a successful season, learning from mistakes and progressing throughout the season. Training has been structured and U13A VII P9 / W4 / D0 / L5 A tough season with many lessons learned. The season got off to a flying start with a fantastic victory over Queen Mary’s and things looked very promising with such talent on display. I was immediately impressed with the mid court players: Jess Dyson, Lucy Grewer, Pippa Byron, Beth Fenwick and Belle Yeomans all covering good ground and marking tightly. In defence, we have been U13B VII P6 / W2 / D0 / L4 A fantastic season for the U13 B team with a particularly impressive victory against Yarm where they demonstrated outstanding teamwork and commitment. We have suffered defeats only against really strong teams and we have learnt from these games and taken much away with us to improve upon. worked on focal points of the game that needed improving to turn losses into wins. I have been pleased with the team’s spirit and commitment. They have made massive leap forward this season showing independence and ownership of their game. Well done girls on a fantastic season. very strong with Annie Pearson, Scarlett Robinson and Louisa Chacksfield all making excellent contributions. Our shooters have been a huge asset to the team; such accuracy and reliability, even from very long range! A huge well done to Evie Rennison, Honey Roe, Bella Foley and Jess Dyson. They played at their maximum right up until the final whistle. With some excellent victories this season came a couple of big losses against Hymers and St Olaves however, what was most impressive in both of these games was that the girls never lost heart. Players’ Player: Lucy Grewer Belle Yeomans, Kitty Webber, Daisy Luckett, Caitlin Marshall and Maisie Spruyt have all been reliable and strong mid-court players, moving around the court well and demonstrating strong passing skills. Most impressive have been Orla Jamieson and Katy Bull-Diamond as shooters, but especially Amy Blight who has scored some excellent goals at crucial times to push the team ahead. Louise Tomlinson has been really impressive in defence, making some great interceptions and getting in the way of the opposition’s shooters. Most Improved Player: Heidi Hawkesworth Player of the Season: Annabelle Medhurst The girls are an excellent team and have huge potential for the future. It has been truly a pleasure coaching the U13s; thank you from me and well done for a fantastic season.
