Creating a budget. The four event managers took part in Roundabout’ s annual Sleep Out fundraiser. The organisers felt that is was the most appropriate way to raise funds for the event. Roundabout agreed to let Enigma Events keep the funds to go towards the operational costs of The Perverse Playhouse.
Contracts and Agreements. Official contracts were created, agreed on and signed by all suppliers- venue, escape games and photographer. Job descriptions were created and written confirmation obtained from volunteers and actors.
Payments. Dates and payment plans were outlined within the contract and were abided by strictly.

Acceptable production costs. The majority of the costs came from props and equipment for the escape games. The event also incurred a lot of last minute expenses as the escape game supplier demanded further props during the setup. These last minute additions meant event managers could not‘ shop around’ online for the best price, they had to purchase the first available items. Although the event still made money, Enigma Events could have made significant cost reduction if they were not responsible for purchasing all the escape game supplies.
