As mentioned previously, four of the volunteers dropped out last minute leaving the
organisers with only four staff for setup and the event. However, operational task were
adapted and re-designated.
Feedback from the volunteers revealed that their experience met their expectations - as
information was provided to them pre-event. Each volunteer had a positive attitude and
the event would not have been so successful without them.
100% stated they would
volunteer at the event again and
would even recommend the
experience to a friend.
There was very little negative feedback, however, one recurring comment referred to the
delegation of tasks by event organisers. This could be explained by the last minute
dropouts meaning there were fewer bodies to complete tasks, however, this should have
been considered during planning and could have been dealt with more effectively and in a
more professional manner.
